Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tarot Reader (App Store / Play listing: Tarot Reader: Daily Tarot Read) (“the App”) handles information. “We,” “us,” and “our” mean NitiPlay LLC, founded by Ismail Lahniti (Morocco).

1. Who we are and what the App is

Tarot Reader is a lifestyle / entertainment app offering tarot spreads, card meanings, zodiac origins, horoscopes, lunar information, compatibility charts, guided breathing, a local Cosmic Journal, and related mystical content. It is designed for personal reflection and entertainment.

We do not operate user accounts. There is no sign-in and no cloud profile hosted by NitiPlay. Version 1.0 is free (supported by advertising) and does not include in-app purchases.

2. Summary (plain language)

• Preferences, onboarding answers, journal entries, and the daily-card cache stay on your device.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• The App shows ads via Google AdMob and may request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS so ads can be personalized if you allow it.
• Optional location (when in use) improves local moonrise / moonset times; you can keep location off and still use lunar features with a default observer.
• Optional local notifications remind you about Card of the Day if you enable them.
• Optional live features may call third-party content APIs over HTTPS (listed below).
• Deleting the App removes local App data from that device.

3. Information we do not collect ourselves

• No account, email sign-up, or social login inside the App.
• No payment-card details (the App is free in version 1.0; Apple / Google would process any future store payments).
• No contacts, HealthKit, HomeKit, photos, microphone, or camera access.
• NitiPlay does not operate a backend that receives your name, onboarding answers, or journal text.
• We do not sell personal information to data brokers.

4. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally (for example via iOS UserDefaults / Android SharedPreferences), not on NitiPlay servers:

• Onboarding completion flag and questionnaire answers used to personalize in-app guidance
• Display name you optionally enter during onboarding
• Preferred zodiac sign
• Settings (haptics, reminder time, location preference, favorites)
• Cached “card of the day” identifier and orientation for the current calendar day
• Cosmic Journal entries and favorite card IDs
• In-memory caches of recent horoscope or moon responses during a session

This information stays on your device unless you back up the device with Apple or Google. Uninstalling the App removes this local App storage on that device.

5. Permissions

5.1 Location (when in use)

If you allow location access, the App uses approximate coordinates only to request more accurate local sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset times. Location is not required to use the App; you can disable “Use device location” in Settings. Location is not sent to NitiPlay servers.

5.2 Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. Notification content is generated on-device; we do not use push servers for this feature.

5.3 App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, the App may show Apple’s tracking permission prompt. If you allow tracking, advertising partners (such as Google) may use the device’s advertising identifier to deliver more relevant ads. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are less personalized. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open ads. Google and its partners may collect and process device and advertising data under Google’s policies, including identifiers, approximate location derived by Google, and interaction with ads.

• In supported regions, a consent / privacy options form (UMP) may appear so you can manage ad personalization choices.
• In-app Settings includes a path to open privacy / ad options where available.

Apple App Privacy labels that may apply for advertising: Device ID, Advertising Data, and related usage data collected by Google / AdMob partners. Used for Third-Party Advertising and/or Analytics as declared by Google. Tracking may occur if you grant ATT permission.

7. Information that may leave your device (content APIs)

When you use live features and a network connection is available, the App may request publicly available content over HTTPS. These requests do not include your display name, onboarding answers, or journal text as account data. Providers may log standard technical information (for example IP address, User-Agent, date/time) under their own policies.

7.1 Tarot card catalog

• CosmyDay — daily / weekly / monthly horoscope text
• Free Horoscope API — fallback horoscope text

7.3 Lunar / sky times

• CycleCalcs — moon phase, illumination, distance
• SunriseSunset.io — sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset (uses coordinates you allow, or a default observer)

Apple App Privacy labels that may also apply for content features: Product Interaction / Other Usage Data related to fetching public content (not linked to an identity we control). Used for App Functionality.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App includes advertising, it is intended for users old enough to use the App Store / Play Store under applicable rules. If you believe a child provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will delete that correspondence where applicable.

9. Your choices and rights

• Decline ATT tracking; ads still work with limited personalization.
• Deny or revoke location; lunar features fall back to a default location.
• Turn off daily reminders in Settings.
• Use privacy / ad options in Settings where available (UMP).
• Use much of the App offline with local fallback content.
• Delete local data by uninstalling the App.
• Email us to request deletion of support emails you sent us.
• Depending on where you live (for example GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA), you may have rights to access, delete, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise those rights. For AdMob-related requests, Google’s tools and policies also apply.

10. Security

We use HTTPS for network requests. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Do not send sensitive passwords or payment details to our support email.

11. International transfers

Third-party API and advertising providers (including Google) may process technical and advertising data in other countries. By using live features and ads, you understand that those providers may handle data under their policies.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted in an App update description. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy, except where the law requires extra consent.
